ADDIS 2 release 13

19 Jul 2017 — Daan Reid

We are proud to announce ADDIS 2 release 13. This release contains the following new features and improvements:

  • We have removed the distinction between single-study-based benefit-risk analyses and network-based ones. Benefit-risk analyses can now combine data from single studies and network models on a per-outcome basis.
  • We’ve added the ability to manually enter effects data to the stand-alone MCDA component
  • We’ve made some changes to the structure of MCDA analyess, separating the problem definition and preference elicitation steps.
  • We’ve added harmonisation of quantities/units to study entry and intervention definition, as well as a tool to repair older definitions.
  • We’ve drastically improved performance in many cases, especially the study data and history part.
  • Many bugfixes as usual.

To see the new features in action, watch the release video.

Our coming release will be at the end of september. We expect to complete our rework of the MCDA component, focusing on aspects like entry of confidence-estimate based data, and interactive sensitivity analysis in the results screen.

ADDIS 2 release 12

04 Apr 2017 — Gert van Valkenhoef

We are proud to announce ADDIS 2 release 13. This release contains the following new features and improvements:

  • It is now possible to copy others’ projects, including analyses and models. We have also extended the project update functionality to preserve evidence syntheses and their models when possible.
  • We’ve added several features to improve data exploration, specifically the day 80 effectiveness table for single studies, and improvements to the dataset overview (the ability to filter by treatment and outcome, and an extra column showing detailed study treatments)
  • It is now possible to see the absolute effects of network models, after setting a baseline distribution. The system will try to guyde you while setting the baseline distribution by letting you choose from the available evidence. Benefit-risk analyses based on network models will use these chosen baselines by default.
  • Archiving functionality is now complete, allowing the archiving of projects, analyses and models.
  • In the interests of transparency and flexibility we now allow users to download both the data and R code for each evidence synthesis model.
  • The report writing tool has been expanded with quite a few plot and data elements.
  • Many bugfixes and improvements to stability and performance.

To see the new features in action, watch the release video.

We are also happy to announce that we have secured funding to keep working on ADDIS until October at the very least. Our coming release will focus on features to help assessors and regulators, mainly the MCDA component. We also expect to further improve the model task R system.

ADDIS 2 release 11

23 Dec 2016 — Gert van Valkenhoef

We are proud to announce ADDIS 2 release 11. This release contains the following new features and improvements:

  • It is now easier to correct your mistakes. Projects can be updated to new versions of a dataset, keeping all your outcomes, interventions, and covariates. Concepts in projects can now be edited or deleted, and out of date projects can be archived.
  • It is now possible to enter data for categorical variables, and you can change the measurement moment assigned for measurements.
  • Standard errors entered for outcomes will now be used in analyses. Measurement properties that are not used in analyses are now clearly marked in data entry.
  • A first preview version of our report writing capability is now available. You can write a report for your project (using the Markdown syntax), and that report can include dynamic references to analysis results. In the preview, you can add evidence network diagrams, and confidence intervals for treatment comparisons.
  • Many bugfixes and improvements to stability and performance.

To see the new features in action, watch the release video.

We are also happy to announce that the IMI GetReal project has been extended, and so you can look forward to ADDIS 2 release 12 in Q1 of 2017. In release 12, we will flesh out the report writing functionality further, improve our interface to R, and more.

ADDIS 1.16.8

14 Nov 2016 — Gert van Valkenhoef

Today we announce a new version of ADDIS 1, ADDIS 1.16.8. ADDIS 1 is our old desktop application, and is no longer being actively developed. This release fixes several bugs in the export to ADDIS 2 (introduced in ADDIS 1.16.7).

ADDIS 2 release 10

04 Oct 2016 — Daan Reid

We are proud to announce ADDIS 2 release 10. This release contains the following new features and improvements:

  • Network meta-analysis: sensitivity analysis, bias assessment, preferred outcome direction, archiving of models.
  • Data entry: improved user interface, improved performance, and deleting studies.
  • Users can now access ADDIS without logging in.
  • Complete user manual for ADDIS (except benefit-risk analysis).
  • Significant improvements to performance of analysis result screens and significantly lowered bandwidth usage.

In the next release we will continue to focus on stability and usability, to deliver the best possible end product for the GetReal project.
